Visitors pay $125 for the ultimate elephant experience. In this interactive experience, you will have an hour and a half to be with the elephants and gain an understanding of the importance of conservation. Admittance for children three and under is free. 

What kind of elephants are in The Preserve in Fredericksburg?

The Preserve is home to Asian elephants. They are an endangered species; there are fewer than 50,000 left in the world. In the wild, these elephants are found in South and Southeast Asia. 

Can I touch the elephants?

Yes. The Preserve allows visitors to touch Fredericksburg’s famous elephants. Additionally, they allow you to help bathe an elephant, as well as opportunities to get photographed while interacting with these massive creatures. 

Is there a minimum age requirement?

There is no minimum age for kids to visit the sanctuary. Children three and under are completely free of charge. Guests 13 years old and younger must be accompanied by an older guest.

The elephant experience at The Preserve goes on rain or shine. Keep in mind that the entire experience is outside, though they do offer covered pavilions and umbrellas. Your experience at The Preserve is only canceled if there are severe weather conditions.
